Lindy Hop and Life

Ahhhh, now THIS is why I dance!

Yep, dancing has definitely made me a happy chappy. =D

There is just so much about Lindy to talk about, not just the dancing (which in itself could fill DAYS of conversation), but life around Lindy. One thing that's been on my mind lately is how people's perceptions of people change as they get to know each other. Sometimes first impressions are spot on, other times they are completely off the mark! I've sure had some surprising revelations... it's amazing what you find out about someone when you meet them outside of dancing!

And how two people may not at first click but if they have a third friend they both click with, then they get to know each other better via this third friend, and even become closer than they were with the third friend. When you think about it, it gets really interesting- if the third friend never existed then the other two would never have become close mates. Hooray for dancing, without which I would never have met all these fantastic people!

And dancing ruts, how to get out of them, how variety helps, but at the same time you just want to get better, but you can't want it too much or it becomes a job.

Dancing life is so much like life life. It's the same way Monopoly models financial life. The same way how any game models some aspect of life.

Why do I ask so many questions? Doesn't anyone else wonder about these things? It's complicated, but maybe only if you think about it that way????

What do YOU think?
