What is this Multiculturalism you speak of?

All this country-hopping has made me realise something- when I was in France, Norway, and well basically anywhere in Europe except London, I felt slightly out of place, more so than a tourist usually would. It's a familiar feeling that I had experienced a lot especially during my primary school days back in Oz.

It's made me realise that London truly is a melting pot of very distinct cultures. In London, I don't get this feeling of being different. In fact, being different in London is being part of London! I'm proud to say that Melbourne is like this as well, maybe to a lesser extent, but it's certainly there, and hopefully maturing. Celebrate diversity and all that. So this is multiculturalism. I like it!

Feeble Humans

Coming from a Software Design background, I know that if I code something up correctly, I have a good chance that my code will do what I want it to do. Recently I was reminded how this is so not the case in nature. Even in these modern times, most of our biological research and drugs development is based on trials and experimentation. It's a shock to think of the difference. Feeble humans we are.
